?The recall includes various sizes of Premium Edge, Diamond Naturals, and 4health dry cat food formulas distributed from the company?s Columbia, S.C. production facility. The packages were sold in one or more of the following states: Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, ?and West Virginia.
?The recalled brands are: Premium Edge Finicky Adult Cat Formula dry cat food, Premium Edge Senior Cat Hairball Management Formula dry cat food, Premium Edge Kitten Formula dry cat food, Diamond Naturals Kitten Formula dry cat food, and 4health All Life Stages Cat Formula dry cat food.
?The batches have ?Best by? dates between July 10, 2013 and January 3, 2014.? Sizes range from 6 oz. samples to 18 lb bags.
Thiamine deficiency in cats has been linked to stomach and neurological issues. When treated properly, Thiamine deficiencies are generally reversible.
