2014 Ford Focus facelift spied

The Ford Focus facelift has been spied ahead of an official launch set for next year.

As you would imagine, the Blue Oval company will adopt the Aston Martin-like front grille on the Focus as well, following the recipe used for the Mondeo/Fusion and Fiesta. Compared to the current Focus, the upper grille of the facelifted model appears to be considerably deeper while the number plate plinth has been lowered.

The two big triangular intakes found on the Focus' nose have been blanked off on this mule, most likely to make sure cooling is not affected by the smaller grille opening.

A reveal is likely to occur before the end of the year, with sales commencing early 2014.
